Hello?

Isn't it funny that all of us born in the 80's recognized immediately how shitty the decade was as soon as we were conscious, yet people who lived in it thought wearing the same haircut by both sexes was the definition of cool?

I hate the pop culture that defined the 80's. By far it was the most awkward phase of self-expression in American pop culture history. So to the Americans who grew up here and watched it happen closer than I did: what the hell went wrong? How did the "beat-it" attire even come out in the forefront, and was this a necessary part of pop culture progression? Or was this an intentional stunt pulled by the people who wanted to play a joke on a gullible world? If that's the case, then I've been fooled. Not to think it was cool, but to not realize it was a big fucking joke.

P.S. Does anyone actually think breakfast club was a good movie? (I never saw it)

Update: I remembered how this came about--I talked to K about this once, then a week later listened to BS Report with Bill Hader talked about the 80's while I was painting my closet.
